01 — ABOUT BLOGSPANGEA

We stitch the continents back together

200 million years ago there was Pangea — one supercontinent. Then it broke apart. Cultures, landscapes and stories drifted away from each other. BlogSpangea brings them back together.

We are a collective of travelers, biologists, geologists, chefs, photographers and village elders. We hike volcanoes in Kamchatka, sail with fishermen in Zanzibar, sleep in ice hotels in Lapland and code from jungle cabins in Costa Rica — then we write it down honestly, with maps, costs, failures and magic moments.

No clickbait. No AI-generated top-10s. Only field notes, long interviews, deep guides and photo essays you can actually use to plan, dream and understand the planet.

05 — OUR MANIFESTO
“Travel slower. Listen longer. Leave no trace but gratitude. The Earth is not a backdrop — it’s the main character.”

We publish 3 deep stories per week, not 30 shallow ones. We pay locals for knowledge. We revisit places after 2 years to tell the truth about change.

Questions answered
What is BlogSpangea?

A portmanteau of Blog + Spangea (our playful Pangea). An independent travel-culture-nature publication reuniting the world’s stories in one place — blogspangea.com.

Is content free?

Yes. 95% free forever. Optional membership ($5/mo) unlocks GPS downloads, offline maps and our printed atlas.

How do you choose destinations?

Readers vote, locals invite, scientists tip us about eruptions, migrations and blooms. We avoid over-touristed traps unless we can show a responsible way.

Can I contribute?

Absolutely. Send 3 photos + 300 words about your home place via the form below. We pay $120 for accepted stories and always credit.
